Midthunder comes from the Fort Peck Assiniboine tribe. Her mother worked as a castor and she was a student at the Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe. She was raised on the Navajo Nation, in Shiprock. Amber is from a Native American family on her dad's side. They are both members of Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother was adopted which means that Amber is not sure of her mixed ancestry. Prey is a majority Native American cast, including Dakota Beavers as Naru's brother and Jhane Meyers, who played Comanche and Blackfeet and provided extensive advice to the production. Given the time that the film unfolds, it wasn't possible for them just to cast any kind of dog. Coco as the character's animal Sarii in the film was cast for her particular rare breed: The American Dingo. This breed, also known as the Carolina Dog, is one of the oldest breeds in existence.
TJ has a message to send through this movie. TJ narrates how Amanda is his all-time love. (Although some of it could be about the girl she is with, if you study the film more). TJ confessed to his feelings for her but she refused him as she was dating Daniel. In the wake of Amanda's passing, Emily revealed that she was Emily. Since then, they've remained the best of friends. In the finale the couple are getting engaged. Amanda gets married to Wilf just before midnight. One person is the winner of the prize pot.
